Moralis Academy was founded in 2017 by Ivan Liljeqvist and Filip Martinsson in Stockholm, Sweden. Ivan and Filip met at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2014, where they studied computer science together. Besides sharing a passion for programming, they also shared one for blockchain, cryptocurrencies and entrepreneurship.
Ivan and Filip realized that the knowledge around Blockchain technology that was available was poor and not easily accessible for everyone. Therefore, they decided to take things into their own hands and founded Moralis Academy with a mission to empower people all over the world by educating them about blockchain and programming.

He is an international speaker, educator, developer, and data scientist. Ivan’s Youtube channel Ivan On Tech has become an international phenomenon, spreading blockchain knowledge all over the world and accumulating over 450,000 subscribers.

Filip has a background in Computer Science within the Swedish Banking sector and was an early adopter of bitcoin. He is the “other half” behind Moralis Academy and a true programming astermind. Previously, he was the CEO of Stockholm Blockchain Group and has worked as a Blockchain Consultant with clients from all over the world. During his free time he enjoys reading non-fiction books and long walks.
